Game nights are a great opportunity to get to know one another and enjoy a game or two. We begin with a brief devotion and then break off into groups to enjoy time together playing various games. We have plenty of games available to learn or you are welcome to bring a game to share. We generally begin at 7pm and end around 9 or 10pm. Our next Game night is August 2.

Sunday nights we gather for a meal and time together. We have opportunity for devotion or Bible study, a game or a movie, and for an opportunity to get away from the tasks of classes. We begin at 6pm with the meal.

Movie nights provide an opportunity to enjoy a movie together and consider a significant theme from it. We start the movie at 7pm. A Bible study and discussion of the movie follows.

Our next congregational hike will be Saturday, September 30. We will meet 9:00am for a hike at Sandy Creek Park at 400 Bob Holman Rd, Athens, GA 30607. It’s $2 per person to enter the park. The hike will follow a portion of the lake for about 4 miles (about 2 miles out and then back). The hike is under the tree canopy. Participants should wear sturdy shoes and bring water. Dogs are welcome. There are bathrooms available at the park.

We can pick up hikers at church at 8:30am if anyone needs a ride and we need to know in advance. Otherwise we’ll meet at the park at the parking lot near picnic shelter #3 to hike a portion of the Lakeside Trail.
