Bible Study

We have opportunities to gather together as a congregation and grow in our Christian faith. We meet at 9am for Sunday School and Bible study; we also have Bible study on Tuesday nights at 7pm and 8:30pm. Smaller groups also meet at various times for time together in the Word. If you are interested in our Sunday School opportunities, please contact Pastor Michael so we can get you properly connected. For a full list of opportunities, see our upcoming/present Bible studies listed below.

Sunday Morning – 2 Corinthians

Our Sunday Morning Bible Study focuses on the book of 2 Corinthians. We are working through Paul’s letter encouraging the Corinthian congregation in their lives of faith, encouraging us as we live out our faith as well. You may participate in person or via Zoom. Either way, we hope to see you then! We hope you join us as we grow in the Word Sundays at 9:00am. If you have any question, please let Pastor Michael know. The Zoom links are available on the Online Opportunities page of our website.

Midweek Zoom Bible Study – The Gospel of Luke

Our Midweek Zoom Bible Study takes time to look at the Scriptures considering some aspects of our faith and life. Currently we are working through the Gospel of Luke. Our primary meeting format is online via Zoom on Tuesdays at 7pm, although some meet at church in person. If you would prefer to participate in person, please contact Pastor Michael so he can plan accordingly. The Zoom links are available on the Online Opportunities page of our website.

Midweek Bible Study – Galatians: True Freedom

Tuesdays at 8:30pm, during the Fall and Spring Semesters, we meet at church for an in-depth study of a book of the Bible. Beginning on February 17 through the end of the semester, we look at Paul’s letter to the Galatians. The letter accents the freedom we have been given in the Gospel, freedom truly to live. If you have any questions, please email Pastor Michael.

From Creation to Consummation – Basics of the Faith

Each semester we offer a class that engages the basics of the faith beginning with the creation and going all of the way to the end of all things, the consummation. The course runs ten weeks with each week lasting about an hour and a half. The class is helpful if you have not ever taken a basics of the faith course, if it has been some time since taking confirmation, or if you just want an in-depth refresher course. This semester we are meeting on Wednesdays at 8:00 pm. If you are interested in participating in a future course, please contact Pastor Michael so he can prepare the materials for you.

Micro Groups

Student micro groups provide opportunity to gather to spend time in the Word, prayer, and conversation. It is an opportunity to grow and walk together in our lives of faith. We hope you will grow together with us in community around the Word and prayer. If you are interested, please contact Madison Cassel-Hughes to find out a time and place that works for you. This year we are considering the book of Acts.

Non-student micro groups are also available. If you are interested in participating in a micro group, please contact Pastor Michael so he can help you find one close to you.

Women’s Small Group

If you are interested in our women’s small group Bible study, please contact Kelly Michael for details.

Student Nights

We gather Sundays during the Fall and Spring semesters for Student Nights. We have a meal and a shorter Bible study and an activity. The studies tend to focus on themes and questions of interest to the students as we struggle through our life of faith and grow in the faith that has been passed down by the faithful who have gone before us. The meal starts at 6pm with the study or devotion and activity following. The studies are every other week following the meal with a devotion and activity on the alternating Sundays.

Through the Scriptures

Through the Scriptures is an individual study opportunity to read through the Scriptures in less than two years. Each day, from Monday through Saturday, there are assigned readings along with questions and answers to guide your reading. The readings are set up not according to how they appear in the Bible, but rather in an attempt to go through the timeline of Scriptures twice. We invite you to read through them on your own, with a friend, or as part of a small group. The reading guides are available in the following links: Year 1; Year 2; Year 1 with notes; Year 2 with notes. Please contact Pastor Michael if you have any questions.
