Outreach

As baptized people of God, we anticipate the hope of Christ’s return and the restoration of all things; we look forward to the new heavens and the new earth (Revelation 21). Recognizing that hope of restoration and wholeness, we desire restoration and wholeness for people in our lives. While we cannot bring the fullness of the restoration we will see on the last day, we certainly want people to have a taste of it in the present. Such a desire drives us to share our faith in word and deed. We tell people that Christ has won the victory over sin and death for them. And we seek opportunities to help people in physical need as well. Throughout the year, we have many opportunities to reach out as a church to our local, national, and international communities with restoration. These endeavors are intended to supplement our daily life of service to our neighbor. As projects and events develop we will post them on the news and events page and on our Facebook page.

Pray for Us

We invite you to support Christus Victor through your prayers. While we certainly do not want to limit your prayers, the following list provides some specific areas for which we request your prayer:

1. For new students as they begin their time at UGA this Fall that they prepare for the demands of classes and adjust to the many opportunities and challenges of campus life.
2. For our student leaders as we prepare for the new academic year, welcome new students, and foster a sense of the family we have been given in Christ.
3. For recent grads as they continue to adjust to a new stage of life.
4. For all of our congregants that student and non-students would get to know each other, learn from and support one another, and go forward in mission together in the joy that is the Body of Christ.
5. In thanksgiving for the opportunity to serve this campus and community with the hope and confidence of the Gospel.
6. In thanksgiving for the many alumni, family, friends, and congregations who have and continue to contribute to our efforts here at Christus Victor through their prayers and through their ongoing financial support as we seek to sustain and further the mission here at Christus Victor.
